We offer a complete, start-to-finish solution for the construction and creation of a new garden. This will often involve some demolition and clearance work. Earth moving using mechanical excavator and dumpers is often next on the list.

Groundworks including the instillation of drainage, lighting cables, water supplies an irrigation systems. Key to a great garden is the preparation work of the hard-landscaped areas like pathways, terraces and steps. Sub-base such as type 1 granite is installed over a geotextile membrane then levelled and compressed. Foundations are then built for dwarf wall, gate piers and steps.

Using natural stone paving products as well as some clay bricks and, in more contemporary gardens porcelain tiles, the hard landscape is laid out in very precise detail. Elegant terraces paths and seating areas are created.

Preparation is also key to the success of the soft-landscape. Large planting pits are created for trees and borders are prepared, topsoils stripped back, subsoil broken up and the topsoil returned over the top, ameliorating green waste compost and well-rotted farmyard manure in the process.

Lawns and meadows are sown. The weeds are often treated with glyphosate before levelling work using mechanical excavator. Now, cultivation work using pedestrian-operated rotovators, as well as our compact tractor and power harrow/ stone burrier is carried out. The seed bed is firmed down with a roller to ensure good contact between seed and soil, aiding rapid germination and also further stabilising the landscape.
